The Mediterranean can be defined as the classic venue for cruising. The Mediterranean Sea is a sea; off the Atlantic Ocean surrounded by the Mediterranean region and almost completely enclosed by land: on the north by Europe, on the south by Africa, and on the east by Asia. The name "Mediterranean" which means "in the middle of the land". The name admirably describes this almost-landlocked sea, while it also gives some prominence to the "terra", the land that surrounds it. Mediterranean is culturally rich and exotic destinations in the world, from the ancient stone villages and sunny beaches of Portugal to the mystical eastern flair of Turkey. There is, in fact, no other area in the world that can equal the Mediterranean for the number of cultures and civilization in such a relatively small area.
